--- General Questions ---
Q?What is Amada's PMP?
A:We begin by performing an initial inspection and an evaluation of your Bandsaw. This is followed up by an exhaustive 20-point inspection to make sure your Bandsaw is operating to peak performance.
The PMP Technician will make minor adjustment and repairs, and you will be supplied with a report of service that is needed and who you should contact to schedule this service.
The major goal of AMADA’s Preventative Maintenance Program is to minimize down time due to preventable breakdowns and to assure that your Bandsaw is ready to handle the heavy workload efficiently.
This program is your guarantee of increased machine longevity and greater productivity.
Q?My band saw machine(s) is/are not Amada. Can I sign up for Amada's PMP?
A:Yes. Provided you are using Amada Blades.
Q?What is difference between Exclusive User and Non Exclusive User?
A:If you are buying only Amada blades for your machine(s), you are an Exclusive User.
If you buying Amada and/or other vendor's blades, you are a Non Exclusive User.
Q?What is the annual fee for Amada's PMP?
A:No annual fee, if you are buying Amada band saw blades.
Q?I am locating outside of the U.S.A. Can I sign up for Amada's PMP?
A:No. Amada's PMP is only available in 50 states of U.S.A
Q?When will we receive Amada's PMP inspection?
A:1 time annual inspection at customer request.
Amada's PMP inspection will not be scheduled by ACT and will be as needed
and based on Amada's PMP inspection personnel availability.
Q?What does the Amada's PMP inspection cover?
A:We will perform an exhaustive 20 points inspection.
To assure your band saw is operating at peak performance, the technician will perform inspection and minor adjustments.
You will be advised if more extensive service is needed.
--- For existing Amada PMP Program user, who enrolled before May 2009 ---
Q?Do I need to sign up for the new PMP program?
A:No. Present PMP customers will be transferred to one of the above-mentioned program automatically.
Q?What happens to my balance of complementary hours?
A:Customers who currently have a balance of complementary hours in our database will be given the opportunity to consume those hours through June 30, 2009.
On July 1, 2009 all complementary hours will be removed from our PMP Program and database, no exceptions.
Your limited number of complementary hours will be replaced by a 50% discount on unlimited hours.
